Project HELP (Helping Every Learner Progress) is a collaborative project between Marsiling Secondary School and Fuchun Primary School. It is carried out yearly to help Primary 6 pupils who needed more guidance in Mathematics.
A total of eight 2-hour sessions are conducted for the primary school students. This year, about 21 Secondary 2 pupils helped to coach a total of 56 Primary 6 pupils (32 from CS4 stream, 24 from CS2/3 stream). Due to their busy schedule, some of the tutors could not turn up for some of the sessions. Despite that, our pupils guided and encouraged the primary school students by coaching them in completing practice papers and they approached their peers and teacher-in-charge when they faced difficulties in their work with the younger pupils. It is encouraging to observe that most of the P6 pupils were determined to try and excel in Mathematics!
