The objectives of celebrating Singapore Kindness Week in Marsiling Secondary School are to create awareness and to encourage the performing of small acts of kindness in the community. This year, the focus will be on Kindness and Graciousness in Singapore. The idea behind this theme is that we can encourage one another to make a positive commitment towards gracious living through simple acts of kindness in our daily activities.

Marsiling Secondary School proudly exhibited short stories and quotes on kindness which were contributed by the teachers and students. We also encouraged gracious ways of greetings by pasting posters done by the NE champs as well as through the ez-announcer highlighting various polite ways of greetings in various languages. Stories on kindness were also posted on the ez-announcer throughout the kindness week at Marsiling Secondary School. In conjunction with the kindness week, the NE champs collaborated with the MELC to perform a Skit on graciousness entitled ‘Oi! What Is This!’ during the lower secondary assembly programme.

We are confident that the school has been enriched by these kindness and gracious activities carried out throughout the Singapore Kindness Week.
