In July 2006, Wujiang Experimental Junior Middle School signed the Memorandum of Understanding on education cooperation with our school.
On 31 July to 1 Aug 07, we received a group of 72 pupils and 7 teachers, who were introduced to our local education system via classroom fusion. There was a flurry of activities and excitement in our school as our local students mingled enthusiastically with their foreign counterparts. The staff from both schools also had a fruitful exchange on the education policies of both countries.
During the two-day visit, the Chinese pupils followed their assigned buddies to attend and participate in various classroom lessons. They even had a fun session learning Malay and Indian dance. At the end of the visit, we put up a cultural concert for them. The Chinese pupils and teachers were very pleased with the concert performed by our dedicated Chinese Orchestra members, beautiful Malay dancers, energetic Dikir Barat boys and talented School councillors.
For the next 2 years, the partner schools will conduct joint activities such as projects and exchange programme. We look forward to more collaborations and opportunities for greater sharing and learning among pupils, teachers and school leaders.
