Our annual cross country was held on 11 July
(Friday) at Innova Junior College. The whole school
gathered together and the students were flagged off by
our Principal, Mr Loke, according to the four categories
– B Girls, C Boys, C Girls and B Boys. The teachers came
in their sporting attires and participated as well.
Our NPCC cadets directed the
students as route marshals along the 3.4km route for the
girls and 3.6km for the boys. The Red Cross members also
provided first aid at strategic locations along the
route. A water point was stationed at mid point so that
students could hydrate themselves along the run.
The dark cloudy sky threatened to
pour, yet it did not and we were blessed with shade and
breeze for the event. After the run, the whole school
gathered back and was entertained with cheerleading, led
by the Sports Leaders. Mr Pradeep and Mdm Wati also
lighten the spirit with their interesting commentary and
music. The top 25 students of each category were awarded
a medal, as the top 3 male and female teacher runners.
Our fastest boy, Ahmad Syahir from
4L1, clocked a timing of 12mins 36s in the B Boy
category. B Girls were led by Oh Suxian Joy from 4M5, C
Boys by Abdul Rauff from 2L2 and C Girls by Nurul
